Player Ariel José Martínez Camacho debuts through the big door in Dragones de Chunichi

In the "fincas" of Chunichi was the talented pitcher from Pinar del Río, Frank Abel Álvarez.

Young Cuban baseball players Ariel José Martínez Camacho and Pedro Pablo Revilla made their debuts this weekend in top-level Japanese baseball, and both did so satisfactorily.

Both belong to the Chunichi Dragons Organization, a Japanese team that has bet heavily on Cuban talent.

The team based in the city of Nagoya announced during the week that the two prospects signed with the main team of the Professional League (NPB), before playing in the branches.

The first to make his debut was Ariel José Martínez Camacho, who went 4-1 on Friday to hit his first home run at the highest level of Japanese baseball, the second strongest league in the world, only surpassed by MLB.

This Saturday was Revilla`s debut and his debut could not have been better.

In 4 turns at the plate, the leader in home runs of the last National Series of Cuba, hit 2 hits and of course, one of them was a long home run that towed two runs, that happened in his second turn at bat.

Chunichi now has 6 Cuban players in its stellar roster.

In addition to the two youngsters mentioned above, there is the Villaclarean starter Dayan Viciedo and the pitchers Yariel Rodriguez (Camaguey) and Raydel Martinez (Pinar del Rio).

Viciedo has been one of the team`s best hitters for some years now, while Raydel is one of the best relievers in the NPB Central League.

Ariel José Martínez Camacho has hit with quality every time he has received an opportunity, while Yariel has become a reliable arm in the bullpen.
